From the c-suite down to the contact center, at the heart of operations is communications. Everything stems from communications. In the contact center, workforce optimization software and call recording can help to improve performance, where in the c-suite that afternoon conference call can mean the difference between hooking the big fish or going back to the drawing board. Because communication is so important, it’s vital to choose your communications solutions wisely. A good way to handicap the field is through awards.

This week, TMC awarded Avaya (News - Alert) with a 2017 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award. Avaya Equinox is a unified communication and collaboration platform that supports the mobile workforce and offers the choice of running through the cloud, or software to run on standard infrastructure.  As far as functionality and feature set go, users can enjoy HD video, voice, presence and instant messaging, for starters. Users can screen or applications share, access a virtual whiteboard and online meeting spaces, as well.

"The Equinox platform helps eliminate employee communication complexity and frustration unlocking doors to new levels of productivity and efficiency," says Gary E. Barnett, SVP and GM, Avaya Engagement Solutions. "We are honored to be recognized for Avaya Equinox's unified communication solution."

One of the primary positives of the Avaya platform is its ease of use, streamlining collaboration across devices seamlessly, and in doing keeps team members on the platform. Not using unsanctioned communication and collaboration tools.

"Congratulations to Avaya for being honored with a Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC (News - Alert). "Avaya Equinox is truly an innovative product and is amongst the best solutions brought to market in the past twelve months that facilitates business-transforming voice, data and video communications. I look forward to continued excellence from Avaya in 2018 and beyond."

Since communication is at the heart of business, I hope you did your due diligence while selecting your unified communications deployment. Does it integrate well with call recording or workforce optimization software? Does it fit your needs? Can it grow with you? These questions matter, and Avaya has checked all the boxes. Just saying.
